tail gate

well i had a truck full of fire wood today and it was pushin on my tailgate so when i went to open it snap the handle broke right in two! does any one have a price quote on the litle black hnadle?

Same thing happened to my 91 pickup a few years back. I got a new handle from the local auto parts store, Advance, I think. Anyway, they didn't have the black plastic one. They did have a chrome version. I'm not a huge fan of chrome, and really wanted the black plastic to match everything else on the truck, but the new handle was metal, which was a huge plus. I think it was $30 or so.

wow i went to autozone they couldnt get it, napa it was 81 bucks, and schucks was 80 bucks u all got a hell of a deal

ouch! I didn't know the black ones where plastic.. seems like a wierd way for toyota to save money..

Wow man thats unreal, I KNOW i paid less than 10 dollars for mine because i was kinda surprised it was so cheap, It was in the section where the have the ' HELP' parts, with the window handles and door handles

should be cheaper if not close to the price for the inside door handles. freakin 30 bucks at the dealership.

OEM part is $25.68 at https://www.1sttoyotaparts.com/partscat.html That's Bob Bridge Toyota right there in Washington. They're cheap & fast.
