bad fuel pressure would cause the fuel to not atomize and cause a flood.
When i pulled the throttle body off i looked in the intake with a light and it look like the cold start injector wasnt spraying atomized fuel in to the intake and look like if was dripping in.......

Well the 4Runner lives!
It was the fuel rails and injectors.
The fuel rails were torqued to 19ft/lbs instead of 9 ft/lbs causing the injectors to de-atomize as well as the injector gaskets were causing vacume leaks so they wouldnt hold pressure
Some how this was causing too much pressure to run to my cold start injector causing it to flood the intake.
Thanks for all the help and ideas!
now its on to the easy stuff!!!!!

That's awesome!!
So, I've got a small problem. I ordered a rebuilt long-block 3vze and just noticed that the oil filter and oil cooler positions are swapped. I have a 4x4 automatic which I'm thinking means that the one I acquired is a 2wd. Damnit! I think I noticed on page one that you had to deal with this as well. What am I up against and do you have any pointers or a place I should go look?
-Chris
EDIT: Okay, so this may not exactly be the deal breaker I was worried it was. I'm assuming all I had to do was move the oil filter union from the 2wd block position to the 4x4 position. Let me know if I need to worry more than that!
