Now that I am almost done painting the truck a new coat of red, I am thinking of painting on some flat black stripes on the hood and possibly the sides (similar to the Ivan Stewart race trucks). Let's post up some pics to see what kind of interesting paint jobs you guys have or have seen on these trucks!

you wanna paint 'em on? If you haven't cleared the basecoat yet, you might wanna hop on ebay, buy a set of decals (Been looking myself, LOTS of options) stick them on then clear it all at once?

 

that guy's website has some cool old style factory designs if you want the retro look. putting them on under clearcoat would be the way to go if you can. otherwise those stickers have a tendency to collect wax and turn a little white.
you could even combine different years, get that hood one from the 86 and the side stripe from the 88.

Man I am DIGGIN' those stock stripes! So cool! Too bad they're so expensive though...

 

Im not necessarily looking for the stock stripes, but rather something more custom like the flat black stripes on one of the green 4runners on this site. These are going to be painted on, no stickers. Im thinking of something more radical even like the stripe pattern from an old boss mustang, etc.
