"Out of whack" was his choice of a description for it, Im not entirely sure what it meant. He did say the exhaust valve adjuster was a half a turn in (so too tight i assume) I guess that when my friend mechanic and I did it, we started the issue. Its strange to me tho that over time it got louder, and louder and finally to the point of "wow my truck about to do something i really dont want it to loud". It was a locally owned shop here (E&F Automotive). I know i probably havent used the proper terms for half the things ive said, but E for effort

Thanks for the reply Riozpr, the engine has 11k on it i installed it in August. its got the metal-backed guides also. So Im pretty sure that wouldnt have caused a noise issue. He also did my control arm bushings too so now the entire truck is nice and tight. Im just down to the idle drop issue. Its suppose to kick up to compensate for the drag by being in gear, right??
