Starting Weirdness

Every now and then when I get in my truck to start it, it just cranks and cranks
and cranks but if I stop and try to start it again it cranks over but sometimes
won't stay running and die a few times before it starts and runs like it's
supposed to. I've replaced the fuel pump and cleaned the cold start injector. I
haven't replaced the fuel filter though. Does anyone have any ideas what this
is? It's a little embarrassing when my friends get all worried because my truck's
not starting. I just always say "Don't worry, it'll start...it does this all the time."
and it always does start but I'd like to get it fixed because I know it shouldn't be
doing that.

Does it do this when the engine is cold or hot?

Classic symptoms of a bad Cold Start Injector Time switch. I can get you a part number later tonight.

...Im also having this problem on my 3vze, but just today I unplug the fuel line off from the FPR and start it and it fire right up so I don't know if I got it fix yet so still testing it, I let you know if this is it. I'm thinking a bad FPR so if you have one on a 22re then check for that, might want to unplug it and start your truck to see if it fire right up, and be very careful if it fire up the fuel will boost out from the FPR and will cause a fire hazardize so don't smoke ( if you smoke ) What I did was get me a longer fuel line and plug the FPR so the fuel will not spill over the engine. Otherwise I'm thinking may it have been cause by vapor lock?

A part number would be nice...and a place to order it from. I'll check the ohms and clean it off to see if it improves.
