Universal truck spare tire mount - patent pending
I made these to bolt my spare tire laying down flat in the bed. Drill two holes in your bed and push bolts up through the holes in the bed and wheel. My tires are 31x10.5 and the bolts I used are 6.5" and they go through the 1/4" plate. If your 33s are wider than 10.5" you might need to get longer bolts. Don't bother looking for a metric bolt, you won't find it and don't need it. Buy a standard bolt and put locking lug nuts on both bolts.

Don't know if this will help but I have a 92 4-runner with a 33x10.50 AT stuffed under the back. I had to bend the original guides that center the tire a little but it fits. However it will be moved as soon as I get a bumper with a tire carrier on it to make way for the auxiliary fuel tank.

love the in bed tire holders, but theres one thing i dont like about them.... how are you supposed to haul your ATV or dirtbike back there? (or.. for that matter.. where do you put your wife when shes being a PITA?)

I originally drilled a hole in the plate and was planing on welding a bolt on the under side of the bed to hold the mount in place when changing the tire. The mount doesn't exactly fall out easy and there is a cross member under the bed that I can rest the plate on to keep it from falling out when the tire isn't attached. I have a dirt bike and the tire leaves plenty of room for the bike, cooler and everything else.

that IS a jack handle. you can see the orange jack (under the tranny maybe) in that same pic.
has anyone seen this Hummer H2 tire carrier? It looks like a nice compact swingaway style. their price seems steep but i like the single hinge design
