sweet jesus...Glad you are ok! poor truck!
I almost did something similar that year I went to world finals. To get invited you have to have a top 15 certified score in the world and 100 points. I had the points but not the certified (well I was 14th or so with the last weekend before the cutoff.) So I finish taking 2 exams, then finish up the new build I had been working on. Total sleep time over the past 3 days - 10 hours. The night before the drive to Atlanta from Gainesville I got 2 hours. I commenced driving to Atlanta at 2am.
On that drive I probably fell asleep a dozen times. The rest of my team, Pure Pressure Audio, pretty much was in the same condition as me. We got there, ignored all the Nopi rice burners and actually slept for a few hours until stuff got started. But I swore to myself that Id never make another drive like that again on that little sleep.
I ended up winning my class at nopi nationals up there in ATL and being one of the few street cars to crack 150 legal on the new termlab which is a real bizznatch compared to all of the old hydrophone based meters.
It was a good trip for the most part except for all the ricers, fart pipes, heat, and that godforsaken (or maybe blessed?) drive without any sleep.
