side window deflector

Hello out there,

I can't seem to find a pair of side window deflectors for my 92 standard cab pickup with the vent windows. Anyone out there know where I
can get them? I have seen images of my model so equipped but no-one these days seems to make them for models with the little vent wings
in front - or, I just haven't found them yet.
Thanks
Tonino

Hi THook,
Thank you for the response, Were you a Naval Aviator? Hence Tail Hook? Just curious. Anyway, I'll try to post a photo if I can. The products are the side window visors either clear
or usually smoke gray in color. You can crack the side windows in the rain a couple of inches without getting rain in. If you go to the "Weathertech" website, they offer them along with a host
of all other products. I haven't checked J.C. Whitney but I will. I think I checked most others though. W'ere in Sunny St. Augustine Florida. Thank you again.

Thook,
No luck at JCWhitney. My truck is a "El Cheapo" base model. The side view mirror is mounted on the fender to allow
the vent window to open and close. Other models have the side view mirror mounted at the base of the A-pillar and door in
a wedge that fills that lower corner. I did find an image of a 92 with a side visor or wind deflector as they call them but I can't
separate it out from the "montage" its contained in. I googled "images for 92 toyota pickup" and scrolled through them and
found a red pickup with the little corner vent windows like mine sporting the side wind deflectors. Best I can do is end the
entire montage with the photo of my truck enlarged in it if you like.

These on eBay for your truck say they are 12.25 long so they probably fit http://www.ebay.com/itm/Side-Window-...5ZMnQO&vxp=mtr

Just so ya know. I bought a set (stick on type) visors for my g/fs car. It uses the same "3M Automotive Tape" as the set shown here. We cleaned off the attachment area thoroughly and they attached nicely. About a week later we were on the highway and the passenger side one started to vibrate and work loose. We pulled over and found that the 3M Automotive Tape (2 sided) was separating from the plastic. That was attached at the factory not by us. So far the drivers side is sticking, but I'm going to do a mechanical attachment and lose the tape.

Et Al,

All the offerings on E-Bay are for trucks without the vent window - they're too long. I'm not crazy about the tape attachment either. I prefer the way
Weathertech does it but their deflectors only fit trucks without the windows as well. I was on the AVS website earlier today and even chatted with tneir
rep. on live chat. No luck there either. Bummer, but I'll go back again. Perhaps I missed something.

Thanks all

nope...not a naval aviator. thook, as my username, is one word. rhymes with spook. it's the name of one my african grey parrots. there's a story behind the name, but don't feel like going into that right now.

i'm afraid i'm out of options for you, then, if jc whitney doesn't have them. stuff like that is not something i've ever explored really

It looks like the vent window versions are probably no longer being manufactured, or we are just looking on the wrong places...

It may be a while before you find a good set.

et al,

Thanks all for the assist. With the part number I did go to ebay and found it. Also did a sanity check on the AVS web site
using the part number and it came up. Then checked my local Advance Auto store and they are showing it so I'll skip down
there today and order a set. If they don't fit I can just return them there. I just had 3M window tint put on the side windows and
it does help. The visors will be icing on the cake. Thanks again to all. Will post a photo.

thanks again guys

My Turn: VENT VISOR Deflector for 1986 with Vent Window

Any luck finding one for First-gen 4Runner with vent windows?
AVS
92023 VENT VISOR Deflector in Rock Auto and Amazon are the closest I could find, but Amazon says it is for NO vent window and Rick Auto does not say Vent or no vent.

It's an 8 year old thread but, good luck.
by the way I just used the full length one, I never use the wing windows anyway and that worked great.
I guess you could trim the full length one to work as well... just thinking out loud.
