I just recently added this console this past weekend to fill the space made with the buckets. I didn't want to do the runner console, and I think this looks fine. I bought a darker stain, but really enjoy the smell of the cedar and don't think it looks that bad. I used a pocket hole jig as much as possible to make things look cleaner. It is fastened with nothing, but I cut to fit snugly between the seat rails, and you wouldn't be able to tell if you tried because It only goes in one way and is very firmly held in place. PM if you want specific measurements, but they likely would be different from that of sr5 seats, I just guessed and checked; yall are very capable. I found a cabinet magnet to keep the hinged top from rattling. Lumber, screws, hinges + 1 hour of my time=15.
I am likely going to pad the arm rest and cover with fabric to match interior. Let me know your thoughts on how to improve!
I just got a 1991 Toyota pickup extended cab 5 speed can any one tell me a online store that sells bucket seats that would fit my truck I've been having trouble finding a believable site

The problem isn't the seat, its the mounting bracket....
There are aftermarket brackets - if you don't want to "make" something
I was going to put heated power leather buckets and console out of a mazda3..Real nice but I could not get the stink out of them. In hindsight I figure my dates would not appreciate the console sticking them in the ribs.
I have seats swapped in a 94 pickup from a 90 4runnet and I have the center console but can't figure out how to mount the bezel and shifter boot. The front has a mount point that I can't find at any dealer or online. Pictures would be amazing will upload some of my own later.
I would love to see some more posts on this thread. It seems like the majority of the cool swaps were covered years ago when photobucket was actually functional. Additionally the SR5 seats in the northwest are pretty dried up. I'm looking to put something newer in my truck. My back is so bad I can barely work. Luckily I know how to fab I just want to start with something close.

The cloth version seats out of a 3000GT are really comfy and 3 of the 4 bolts lined up in my 85. I wish I would have kept them cause they were soft and fit my back just right. Right now I'm using Hyundai Tiburon seats, only two bolts lined up and I had to fab the rest. They are also quite stiff and not as soft as I would like. They look nice though.
I am totally happy with my '92 Celica ST seats. The fabric color and texture go perfectly with the grey interior of '84 - '88 trucks and first gen 4runners. And the narrow seat and high bolsters fit me great and are comfortable. They are also almost a straight bolt-in swap.
This picture was taken in about 2002. It shows the seat in my 1984 Xtra Cab SR5. That truck died in 2010. Now the seats are in my '89 4runner SR5, which also has a gray interior. The seats are 24 years old and just recently the fabric seat bottom of the driver's seat started to come apart at a seam and the foam padding is really starting to give up. I have looked around for another matching seat. They are a little bit hard-to-find after all these years. It seems that the light gray seats, which I believe are from Celica GT models, are more common. This could be due to the fact that this configuration was only available in 92 and maybe 91 Celica'STs. I don't want anything to do with the GT seats though. I am sold on the two-tone design and wonderful fabric of the ST seat.
When I first discovered these seats I found a trick for keeping the driver seat in great shape. Get yourself a matching passenger seat and disassemble the seat bottom so you can get the cushion and fabric cover and swap them onto the driver seat. In these kinds of cars the passenger seat almost always has much less wear than the driver seat. Swapping out the cushion will make your seat feel and look like new again.
If I find another seat and it is far enough away that it has to be shipped, I am going to ask the seller to just send me the seat bottom, which should save a bunch on shipping.

Does anyone know if 2001 Civic SI seats would go into an 88 Base regular cab and if so how much work? Also found a pair of Del Sol seats which I hear will go in. Thanks in advance.

Ditched the German idea and found a guy with a bunch of MR2s. $80 for the pair and they're practically in perfect condition. Now I have lumbar, base, and bolster adjustment as well.
