3rd gen 4runner/Tacoma seats have completely different mounts than older trucks/4runners.

I put a set of 01 4runner buckets in my 92 excab. I had to cut the mounts off the 4runner seats and custom make some mounts out of my 60/40 brackets.

It was a pain...

Most older driver side buckets are worn n torn on edge, but if you are good with a needle and thread, go for it.

Has anyone swapped in heated seats into 1st gen 4Runner, and if so, from what? My friend's late-model Jetta had them, and they were soooo nice, it got me thinking about if it was possible to swap them in. Anyone try it?
When i swap in seats i'm swapping in powered seats.
prolly next summer or spring.

Ya'll will have to wait till I get back home, but I installed leather seat from an 89 conquest tsi. Black leather, and full adjustable, even to the width on the back from side to side. 4 more days.

You can get them to fit with just prying them around but I don't recommend it. Building a custom bracket is the best way to go.

The holes are very close, however.

For reference here's how they're powered:

Seat bottom: front of seat bottom goes up/down, rear of seat bottom goes up/down.

Slider: power slides forward/backward

Seat back: power lumbar, and power side bolsters that really hold you in the seat.

Non-powered: entire seat back can be moved forward/backward (angle) with the adjustment knob, the headrest has four different positions forward/back, and up/down.

And if you get a newer (90+?) set, then the back angle is powered as well.

I put a set of Sparco seats into my 91 MR2, so I will be fitting my stock 91 MR2 Turbo seats into my 87 Truck. I will post pics when installed.

No problem. Just make sure you grab the lumbar/side bolster switch out of the center console area of the Supra you remove the seats from, as well as the wiring harness pigtail from that area. There are other power wires (for the seat bottom movement) coming from the floor under the carpet of the Supra- cut those out as well.

Then check out the TEWD to wire them up: http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Librar...x?S=Main&P=097
