I know not everyone can do this but;

I put my old/failing O2 sensor back in for the Intake Treatment. I can't be sure, but I've heard MANY say that all the crap coming through the exhaust can destroy a good sensor. After all I've spent on sensors in the last few weeks, I WASN'T CHANCING IT.

I have a question, however; With the old sensor, it was running so poorly(barely running in open loop), that as I sucked in the liquid on each treatment(one in Brake Vacuum and one in PCV), it stalled. Well, it didn't stall with the Brake one(I ran around and killed it), but it did stall with the PCV treatment. My question is, "Is it ok that it stalled right out upon sucking up the pcv?" Just want to be sure.

Mine smoked like CRAZY, both times, after sitting 15 min. or so each time. However, once the smoke dies down, make sure you inspect the exhaust, while running. As I did, I found some leaks from the pipe right behind the collector gasket and from the rear-most cylinder/exhaust manifold port. Guess it's time for some gaskets. I also wanted to ask, "Is it a good time to do some seafoam in the oil, as well? I have plenty of oil laying around, and I could just run it up to the mountains, come back and change it out."

I have 265K on my 22re....It's currently running a can through about a 1/4 tank left of gas, as well.

Don't know if you'd read this thread (http://ls1tech.com/forums/general-ma...-your-car.html), but it is pretty informative on SeaFoam treatment and is why I ran mine 200 miles before draining oil-Seafoam mix from my crankcase.

Petdoc seems about right here; it is allways good to do it in the oil as well. However, it may find tiny leaks that were clogged closed long ago.
So if you are running synthetic oil, or very thin oil, you may wanna check for leaks after you do the treatment. I don't know if I could 200 miles before changing the oil, but 50 to 100 would make me more comfortable. then after you change your oil, you may wanna check the cleanliness on your stick again, every couple hundred miles; if it is getting real dirty, change it and the filter again.
