saggin in the rear
#21
Got them off of eBay, Daystar is the brand. 1.5" spacers. Also ordered Gabriel Highjackers from Autozone website. A bit difficult to weasel in, as rear end sag is limited by the brake lines when on jackstands at full droop. Other than that, accessing the top of the shocks was a bit tricky. Going to add 1.5" of shimming to the underside of the top of the shock to compensate. Rides great! Haven't towed or used the airshocks yet, though. It's under construction and only get taken around the block to "test" things as I add them. Not even registered, currently. Figure too that I replaced the entire front steering and shocks at the same time, so if you don't your results may not be as dramatic. Mine was sitting on 18+ year old components, all original. Shocks so bad that a bug hit the windshield and I got seasick!

edit: You can get Daystars, but they're more expensive, and SDORI is a board member (elripster). Support his business if you can.

you should have scrolled down the thread list before asking your question. look at my thread on the replacment coil springs i got for my second gen:
my thread
do not, i repeat, do not get coil spacers unless you are getting new springs as well!! the old springs are crap and bouncy. its better to just buy taller springs or the moog replacments.
i dont know about the air bags, but from what ive heard they are mainly for the purpose of heavy loads.

How do spacers change your spring rate, be they new or worn out? If they're "bouncy" check your shocks. Stiff or saggy, new or old, springs are going to do just that without good shocks.
To each his own. I'm happy with my setup. Maybe if I drove with new springs I'd have a different opinion. Don't know...

spacers are only useful if you need them because of a bj spacer or cranked torsion bars. the only way to do true justice on the rear is to buy replacement or hard-core coil springs and new shocks. when i replaced my old shocks, i found out that they were compressed all the way and when i took them out they didn't even extend
what a piece of crap those stock shocks were. i got the pro comp ES9000's but i think next time i would go with bilsteins.

Moog springs (and any springs) are also going to eventually settle, too.

Gonna disagree with that. If your rear coils are completely shot and have no compression left, then sure, replace them. If they have just settled an inch or two like most have, then adding a rear coil spacer will put you back at factory height. Since those springs are already worn in, they will be more flexible and soft than most lift springs.
