Rusty fuel sending unit removal

Contact the original poster, he should still be around.
My personal suggestion is to drop the tank, clean it, and put in an Aeromotive pump and regulator along with AN PTFE lines and be done with it. Expensive as all get out but its done.

Wyoming - Yeah, it fills on the left. My tank is smaller than a 19 gal. 15 gallon, I think. If I can get away with just replacing the sending unit/ pump, I'm going to try and do that.
Skypilot - thanks for the advice. Any suggestion where you can purchase those hose lines? Any regular hardware store? I'm up in NE Maine now where things are few and far between. And what sort of money are you talking about shelling out?

There an episode of powerblockTV that covers gas tank Resurrection and sealing. Also somewhere I made a big thread on doing exactly your repair. I guess I'll have to find it and repost.
