rod cap won't come off

So here's the deal. I'm attempting to change the rod bearings on my 22re with the motor still in the truck. My dilema is getting the rod caps loose from the rods so I can access the bearings. I removed the two bolts from the studs coming out of the rod and tried tapping up on the studs from bottom with a punch and hammer to no avail. What am I doing wrong. Is there another bolt I have to remove? Any other info on this repair will be greatly appreciated as well.

Hey man, I just got home and picked up my phone and seen you called; I fergot my dang cell phone at home this morning

Good to hear you got em off! What you said in the message you left me, about tapping them with a hammer, was what I was going to tell you; that's how I got mine free. They can really be stuck on there good if the motor's got some miles on it.

How'd the bearing, crank, and rod look?
