Is this the right direct replacement engine for me

I have a 89 SR5 3.0 5 speed 4x4, I came across this auction and he states this motor is a 3vzfe, is this right, please take a quick look at this link and see if this will work for me before i buy it.

If yours came originally equipped with one, then yes. If not, then still yes. You'll just have to swap parts from his '88 to your '89.....like the ECU, distributor, wiring harnesses, etc.

Do a search. I'm pretty sure that I've read that there are differences in the blocks in regard to the motor mounts. The 3VE-FE is from a front wheel drive car, and was mounted transversely. The intake and exhaust were radically different from the truck based 3VZ-E that came in your truck.

If you need to drop in a new engine, take a look in the engine swap section at the 3.4 conversion.

That would mean the seller is incorrect about the motor then? He's selling a motor out of a 4rnr.

If what breknraj says is true and the seller labeled incorrectly, that motor would still work in your truck.

You can see it's out of a 4Runner. The seller is just calling it a 3VZFE instead of a 3VZE. It should work.

that is what i was looking for, i was hoping that he was just on the crack pipe and listed it wrong, which in reality for me is probably better because maybe i can buy it cheap.
