Rear Jump seats???

Does any one know of any jump seat setups for the rear cargo area. I need a six pasenger rig now and don't want to get rid of my 5 passenger 4runner. And my girlfriend doesn't want to ride in the roof rack. I have a 92 4runner sr5. Any info or ideas would be great.

That's all I've ever found as well.

Will probably work if your GF is 4 ft tall. Or if she enjoys her teeth hitting her knees everytime you hit a bump.

It looks like you could do that in the back of a truck with a shell on it as well. Kinda like the old Subaru Brat. Interesting! I wonder what the law in California says about adding a seat to the bed of a truck.

I am in California and it appears to be ok to have seats in the back of a truck as long as there are seat belts. My cousin had a bench seat in the back of his Jeep Commanche and he was always getting pulled over by the cops, but they said it was fine when they saw the seat belts.

Put the spare oon a carrier and cut out a part the cargo area for a footwell. (I've toyed with doing this on mine...)

Ive been thinking of building one for the back seat of my truck. How hard could it be. I was thinking of getting like a boat seat and attaching it to the side lol.

I was thinking of installinga samurai back seat or jeep back seat. But i will have kids in this so it has to have shoulder belts.

Since we are on the subject of jump seats, I have some jump seats from a Brat if anyone wants to buy them. They have seat belts but would probably need a little bit of work to make them latch.

i would get a jeep seat set it opposite of the rear runner seats, and attach some shoulder belts to where the original ones were too. i saw a guy here w/ a tricked out 87 truck that had a seat in the back w/ built in belts, and when he put his top on the seats went in, but you could also take it out in about a min.
