call me weird but no matter the weather i have my window down. well the people in the extended cab whine alot. so is there a way to run a heater tube to the rear of the cab up threw the floor under the back seat support and out to the front of the suport thingy? i dont know how else to explain it but has ant one done this?

 

my 4runner has a rear heater from the factory, its only on the feat, but still, not sure if the parts are interchangeable.
its in the center concel, like were you rest your right arm

Call me weird but im a little curious, if the front heater is off, can the rear heat be turned on and off from right there..?

its weird my rear heater only blows heat to the right side.. maybe somethings blocking it.

Its a little cramped, but yes, you can. With soft shocks, you can get the truck to rock nicely as well.

i am suggesting to seal off the air vents into the rear.
i removed the entire interior, and noticed a few "vents"...they surely are nice to have during the summer, but i never noticed a way to close them.

so, perhaps the passengers in the rear are getting blasted w/cold outside air, and simply putting some duct tape over it (or a full blown vent/ shutter) may help them stay warm.

might be easier than installed new heat ducts throughout your truck.

well i might try that but i like projects. my buddies give me a hard time when im working on it. but when its done they all want it lol.

anyways. i think im going to look into it. is there a way to make a spliter so i can run another duct? i didnt know if i could take one out of a 4runner (because they have that centercouncle heater) and instead of droping it in side i would run it out side right abouve the tranny. i should haveenough clearance with the 3in body lift.
i dont know any one got better a better idear?

 

Seems like if you ran it outside, it would COOL the air in the duct. Maybe you could insulate the ducting, but that would take up more room.

 

you have a 3rd gen truck, very similar inside to a 2nd gen runner. you should be able to find a 2nd gen console w/heater, you will need the heater diverter valve to go on the firewall also. some flexible heater hose, steel/copper hard lines, some barbed fittings, elbows etc and you should be able to plumb it in.

just need to route power to the blower motor and you have rear heat. it is not regulated by the rad so your rear seat passengers should be toasty warm.
