rattle can paint job
So after seeing many patch repairs on my truck i decided to do a rattle can job flat black. It turned out good as you guys will see on the pics now all i got to do is repair a couple more spots.

ya all i did use 400 grid and did 4 coats it was 6 to 7 cans and after i did i went to canadiantire and got a undercoat in a can and did the rockers. the only places that i primed were there was rust

Looks pretty good. It would look better if you did the hood but thats just my opinion.
It looks a million times better if you strip the doors (handle, window, panels, etc.) and all the trim and just paint all the exposed metal. Damn near looks professional. Why not just spend an extra hour and get perfect results

You should consider a FLAT CLEAR like KRYLON so it has just enough protection from getting that dryed out chalkboard look been through that look before and it really don't look to good , flat clear will keep that fresh flat look you have now.
KRYLON Flat clear look no real shine but keeps the flat from drying out over time and looking like an old school chalkboard

def look into a matte clear coat...im going down the same route myself once the weather gets nicer. im gonna roll my hard top with black gloss rust oleum, and then do my truck in some sort of metallic silver that rust oluem has, if it ends up being a flat then im going to do a matte clear coat over it.
