Quick question about lights..

Ok I have seen about a million reviews on lights and I personally dont know which ones to get. I had pro comps 7'' slims, then three days ago someone decided to cut the wires and steal them in my driveway. SO im looking at getting new ones. I never really got a chance to use the procomps due to they were only 3 weeks old. (police report filed). Good thing is they are marked on the back with SINCAL. Anyway, should i stick with those same lights or should i go another route. I dont want anything over 7inches and i have about 2 hundred to spend. (yes cheap budget). Thanks for the help guys

Depends what you need them for, wheeling at night? driving at night? lots of fog? there are different beam patterns, i love my Hella Rallye 1000 Black Magic lights, it lights the road up as though it is day time. But for wheeling i would look at PIAA high/low driving lights OR PIAA quattro lights.

ALSO, look at getting PIAA light locks and PIAA security system for the wiring. That's what i have and i bet people have looked at them and would have taken mine if i did not have the PIAA light locks.

My friend has 2 of the Hella Rallye 4000s, They have 3 types of bulbs but you can wire it so all 3 come on at once. Also you can get a 170w bulb for em, my friend did those 2 things to his, they light up everything lol.

Looks sweet! Might I suggest you get yourself the $100 sonoran steel high clearance filler plate? I'm retrofitting my 94 4runner to a 90-91 style front bumper in order to get that plate installed. Oh, and in the picture, the skidplate is the procomp skidplate for a 4" suspension lift. You might look into one of those too. I'm trying to mount a procomp light bar to the front of that filler plate, but I have to do a little banging drilling and chopping to make it work and look right.

I would deffinately get the filler plate but i have a winch bumper custum made to go in that spot. If you look at the second picture you can see the brackets welded to the front already. I just take it off when im not wheeling cause its huge. Im thinking about ditching that whole thing all together and just doing what you did

I wouldnt ditch a winch in favor of a snazzy plate, personally! heh! I see your brackets. Maybe you can get a front 2" receiver and hook up a removable winch bracket like the warn one:

that lets you hook it up to your rear if need be. That's what I'm considering. Splicing together two wiring harnesses so I can either hook it up in the front or rear at any time and hook it up. A winch is a big budget item I cant swing or begin to think about before the laundry list of other crap I want/need first! Post a pic of that big fat unwieldy SOB you've got. oh, and I'm not a psycho with split personality disorder talking to myself, I apparently missed the edit button

I already bought lights that is what the pics are of..lol my budget couldnt afford higher end lights at this moment with christmas coming. All i needed was to see better at night while playing around on some rocks and in mud. Tested out today and work great. Found out my altenator is crapping out on me. When i press the gas the headlights and guages get brighter. Time for a new one i guess
