proud owner of a 1992 runner!

hey guys after reading these forums religiosly for the past 9 months (when I frst got the yota bug =P) I managed to save enough money to buy the right Toyota at the right price. She's got ur typical yota rust and came with new 31" tires, Bluetooth support , iPod hookup and even a plug in cooler! Best part I only paid $1000 its a 1992 v6 4x4 auto 3.0l with 266,000km , drives like a beauty too

First thing I wanna change is the rusty muffler and tail pipe, any suggestions on what to get?

Welcome to the Wide World of YOTATECH!

Exhaust choices are endless...I've owned ultraflow(dynomax) with my 3.0 and flowmaster with my 3.4 and like them both. There are a bunch of videos demonstrating the sound choices but it's always best to hear it in person....

Welcome to the forum. I have a flowmaster on my 92 pickup. 3.0 auto and I like the sound. Not to loud, but when you get on the gas, it gives a little roar.

Thanks guys, I've decided to go with the flow master after hearing the roar , I would rather give it a shot at installing it myself then a getta shop to do my work. I'm located in lower mainland, BC , Canada. Next time I have access to a pc illl upload some pictures (im on my phone atm)

Borla turbo muffler sounds amazing on the 3.0 sounds nice and throaty. youll like it. theres vids on youtube you can hear it but they dont do it much justice. then just have a shop run the new pipes, i think 2 1/2- 3 inch even would be ok if you keep your cat on, without the cat id go below 3 inch to help keep back pressure.

17 inch american racing rims off a 2005 4runner, i sanded them then painted them black. I really wanted 15 inch rims but i got these tires for free , starting to like the 17s more though

Thanks! I hope to be moving back to BC in a year or so. I'll probably have some parts to sell when I do.

BC is the place to be! heres a bit of an update, made some fender flares out of landscape edging and got a hood visor. I also bought a spare tire carrier from a 1992 4runner (the toyota made ones) 100$ at a junk yrd. Gonna put fresh paint then put it on after i install a steel backing plate into the tailgate~
