Problem with rear main or the crank????

I have a brand new motor, that was built locally, by a very reputable engine builder. Well when it was first built, I let it sit for about 4 months, before I installed it. When I fired it up and drove it, the rear main started leaking....actually pouring. So I had a new one installed. Well i'm finishing up my truck, and fire it up 2 nights ago, to bleed the brakes, and check the a bunch of crap. Everything seemed fine, put it back in the garage, came in last night, and look on the garage floor Oil spot on the floor about 1/8 cup or less, but I about hit the ceiling I was so hot. Well I read some of this thread here https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116/3-0-leaky-leaky-84444/ was wondering if someone else has had this problem, and whats the best way to go about fixing it. The sanding of the seal, seems like a good solution, but at this point I've about stuck all the money I want to in the pos 3.0. I'm at the point were stop leak, and add oil when needed is all I care to do, and wait for the sob to dye, so I can put a 350 in it, like I should have done the first time around Thanks for any suggestions guys
