bumper bull bar fit

I want to attempt to find a some kind of bull bar for my truck but can't afford the min $600 they cost. So in looking for maybe a used one does anyone know what years are identical in so far as fitting on my truck?

I have a 92 pickup 4x4 btw

go to any type of fabricatin shop and just have them make you one. it would be around the same price as buyin a new one and you can customize it the way you want it.

Sounds like a good idea. Should I make a design or do they do that?

They can do it, or you can have one ready for them. The shop that does those around here is about 200 bucks cheaper.

If I was going for front end ramming and wanted to have it protect the radiator and engine where should it be bolted in the design, any ideas?

I would think the frame would be the best bet...the front bumper wouldn't be the best idea to me, just because your bumper would go with the bumper straight into the front of your rig if you hit something or something hit you head on.

Where are you loacated John? And what year Toyota.
If you look here,
http://profiles.yahoo.com/muddy_4run...&ver=7.5.0.814
you'll see what I make for bullbars.
I have had the one thats on my 4runner for years now. Been on 4 Toyota's. Has pulled alot of trucks out including a tanker out of a snowbank. It's bolted right to the frame where a plowframe would.
E-mail me if you want more info.
Good luck.
