Is the motor seized? If it is I think you would have to remove it or loosen it so the gear disengages, then the window assembly should move freely.
I know thats how it is with the tailgate glass anyways

thanks
i will try the hammer smack thing, and if that fails, i will try the 12v. (i was just wondering if it worked on anything less, like 9 or 6, w/capacitors somewhere, but if its a 12.v. than im good.
btw,
is there a right/left side motor?

I'm pretty sure there is. The part numbers are different, but I believe it's only because of the way they mount. Otherwise, the motors are the same.
If you run a search on toyota power window motors, you'll find there a number of different Toyota vehicles you can use a motor from. But, an easy solution is going to O'Reilly, if you need a new one. They're not "Toyota", but they are not "critical" and they are inexpensive and come with a lifetime warranty. Good bang for the buck.

You cannot switch left to right motors, becuase of the clocking and position of the motor.
Just hook a battery straight up to the motor, bypassing all the relays and controls. If it moves, you know its not the motor. The drivers side switch cant be used on the pass side. Also, since you have the contoured door panels, make sure you have all the wiring, indlucing the sub harness that goes from the connector to the switch.
I had the same problem in my 89 4Runner (same style door panels as yours) Turned out the pass side swtich was bad. If you have the FSM, it gives you procedures for testing the individual switches.

Used parts are the way to go too!
When my tailgate motor died I pulled a passenger side window motor from a wrecked truck at a wrecking yard for $10. Only thing was the tailgate motor uses a driver side type motor so I had to reverse the polarity to make it work correctly.

got the window in
and
found the motor does indeed work, however, no power to the plug.
i shoved a wire from the lighter into these 2 wires,
and like yall said, about "polarity" is sooo true
so, 2 wires, one ground, one hot, and up/down is just a reverse hookup.
thanks everyone. and with the motor still working, i can just re-route these wires now the the dash is out. (i might buy some new molex connectors, even though these look good.)(no corrosion visible)
