power to front windows

Ive been trying to fix this problem for a while now I have found the power window relay under the ecu, and have checked the continuity from the switch to the inside harness. However I am not getting any power to this harness where does the power come from or how could I trace it? Thanks

Well, what's the original problem?

I'd go by the wiring schematic and trace it that way. I'm assuming your have a 1st gen 4Runner. Originally on my pwr windows I couldn't roll up the passenger side from the drivers side, but everything else worked fine. I ended up having to replace the whole drivers side switch assembly.

My runner is different from the diagram. Does my power wires go to the relay that is located in the passenger side kick panel? crap, thanks for posting though.

very likely the switch.

get a double pole, double throw...= dpdt, about 2 bucks somewhere
try that, and if it is the switch, either rebuild yours or pony up the 2hundred dollar dealer one...(mines on a 2 dollar switch now, and it works fine...

looks like a turbo button, but i can at least raise/lower it from both seats...(till i find a good one).

hope that helps.

If I run a power wire to the harness inside the switch works fine on the drivers side, so the switch is good but thanks for the advice.
