Just picked up this 1990 SR5 4Runner, 3.0, 4x4 a few weeks ago. 249,000. Body and interior in great condition and engine looks well taken care of for a 30 year old vehicle, but want to get everything up to its best working order so it can be a fun/light second driver and weekend truck. My first 4Runner and 2nd Toyota truck. Formerly owned a 2012 2wd Tacoma. So new territory here with a classic truck.

I keep flipping on the idea of BJ spacers as dont like the idea of increased CV angles, having broken one before. Did you drop diff as well?
The droop on the far side is huge.
Key is to get OEM rebuilt or OEM new cvs. Everyone else uses crap materials. Thats said, if you relax the suspension you reduce your lift about 1/2". This way you are an inch taller and softer which allows for more flex. Never broke a CV. I installed manual hubs so CVs dont spin unless im im offroading.
All of this info is on the forum, don't want to get carried away in the pics thread . Check out my and other's builds. See signature below.
