Here's my cherry original unmolested, 1993 Extra Cab, 22RE, 124,000 miles, it's been a good one. I bought it in 1994 with 7,000 miles. It was a dealer rep truck. Gave $16,500 for it. 5spd, AC, 4 wd selector in the cab, sunroof added later. List of replacement parts, right caliper, and pads at 70,000 miles, pads would have lasted a lot longer but caliper was sticking causing premature wear. Clutch at 94,000, because I spun the clutch early on in it's life time. Water pump, clutch slave, and recent AC compressor, and radiator.
Toyota factory brush guard, made a bracket so the driving lights could be mounted over the bumper instead of in front of the bumper. Added the factory switch in the dash for them.

Doors still close like new,and idles perfectly. a little leak at tranny, every since I replaced the clutch. Oil changes ever 3,000 miles. Recently replaced the gauge cluster as the speedo died, went with an SR5 cluster only $40, plus $20 for the sending unit. Should have done that a long time ago, as I always hated the speedo only.

Been a while since I have posted myself. Took trip to Death Valley a few weeks ago after some new CV's and radiator repair, new rims and tires, had to get out.

See the photos by clicking on my name and viewing profile or Album.

Hi,
This is my first post so I thought I'd post a pic of my first yota truck! Just got it a couple weeks ago. The rear frame was cracked so I got it for a good deal,$1,500. Repaired the frame and a few other little things and it runs like a new one, gotta love these little trucks!

it wasn't a mud hole, it's an old logging road. It rained all day, and was real moist. the guy winching me had 35" km2's and is locked front and rear and got stuck in the same place i did. I seriously crawled in, no run, trying not to break anything, knowing i wouldn't make it. 33" km2's and a rear lock right, i got hung up on my rear diff and km2's just aren't a great thick mud tire.

Looks like a fun time. My DD is also my offroader. It's a 2wd. Still impressive what it can handle.

Here's mine...

Here's my 1991 V6 Yota. It has a 3" body lift and 33-12.50x15 tires on it. Truck has 259,000 miles but motor has less. KC lights and a stereo system. I am very seriously kicking the idea of custom bumbers front and back, and a 2" or 4" suspension lift, a back rack with lights and step bars. I will keep the 33's though. need a good paint job soon too!

That looks like a fun time! I usually have to go by myself, as none of my friends are into wheeling.

That's a really sad picture. How did it happen? I'm hoping you revived her and she's still ticking today.

Simple enough story: the water didn't look so deep from the surface. LOL. Drove right in, hit a drop off, and couldn't pull out. Had 4 other 4wd Toyotas pulling on me (NO ONE had a winch), while I sat in the cab (which was halfway submerged) and stomped the gas. Finally got her out, but then the water in the gas tank got to the fuel system, and I couldn't drive her home, so I got her towed to my house.

I got her running again after a month. Had to change the battery, alternator, catalytic converter, and drain the entire fuel system, from the gas tank to the injectors, before she ran properly again.

Then, I sold her to get out of 4-wheeling, since it can be a costly hobby.

4 years ago, I sold my daily driver, and got the itch for a Toyota truck again. I found a nice 'Runner and bought it. It's now my daily driver, wheeler, and one of the loves of my life:

Thanks.

If anyone who drove by had a winch, I'd have been outta there in no time.

I now have a winch on my 'Runner.
