Randy... love that JEEP explanation, lol. Sux tho, wouldn't wish it on anyone....
Sorry bout yer bud's rig!
Chef dont be its a JEEP lol well thats half of it .the other half is he is inexperienced with offroading, he had tht thing only 2 years and the only time it seen mud was when i took him. i fore warned him ,but he cracked under peer pressure do to girls watching me play in the water. i wasa waiting for the owner of the Avalanche/boat to show up so i could yank it out btw thats walmart parking lot here in leesville Louisiana. as soon as the jeep died i couldnt get out my truck quick enough to scream at him not to crank it while it was under, but what did he do i heard a half a turn of the starter then afew pops and aboom , pulled the plugs and it was a symphony of water springlers hahahahah,. now i have to find a dang 4.0 so he can buy and ill put it in btw those bullet proof 4.0 are not water proof

If it's private land, hell ya that's awesome. If it's public land, you deserve a roundhouse kick to the face.

His excuse was that he hit the same ruts twice. Sadly it was public land, I was kind of upset. We passed this spot and turned to my friend and said hes probably back there doing donuts. Sure enough he was stuck in the mud, proof that you don't take Chevy's and Chevy drivers off roading. Sorry if you drive a Chevy.

I just went through this whole thread recently and had writren down everyones user names that I wanted to do further research on as far as upgrades for my own truck go. And I lost that Damn paper...
There is one guy in particular that had a 1st gen 4Runner with a really awesome interior roll cage that was also padded. He posted some pix of his rig without the top and showing that roll cage. But for the life of me I can't remember his name. I've gone back and browsed through this thread again but seem to have missed him. I really don't wanna go through 415 pages again. If any of you know his user name or at least the page number of this thread that he posted those pix on can you just tell me where it is at. Thanks.

Really interested in that interior roll cage he has. Want one for my truck

Yeah 400+ pages is alot. Not sure who you are talking about either, but 4xInnovations makes a pretty sick interior cage for Runners..

Oh yea I've already checked those out they look pretty solid. I really like it too. but the way the set up In that guys pictures and the padded foam it has wrapped around it just make it look freekin awesome with or without a hard top. It had me sold when I seen it.

Who knows it might be a 4xinnovations roll cage. But I'd like to make sure before I buy it.

I love how people complain about a lil mud turning in a clearing and keep silent about how the place was clear cut and destroyed by heavy equipment .... wahhhhhhhh greeners

It's not about that for me, and I'm sure a lot of others. I'll tear it up all day on private land with permission. It's the environmentalists the see that on public land and go nuts trying to shut it down for anything but foot traffic, which is bull if ya ask me, but unfortunately we gotta deal with it.

This is the roll cage i was talking about earlier. It looks SICK!!!
I'm sure i can make the 4xInnovations one look like this too if it isn't one already.

I hope it gives someone else the same chance . All our toy's are different but they are an extension of us a little .Modified and still get 22 mpg with 35's try that in a jeep!

Nahh. keep the 2wd and when your ready a sas will be easier, and more cost effective considering the original cost of the truck.

Throw a locker in it and have a blast.
