That's Connecticut. Not too many Toyotas left there after salty roads, frame rot, cash for clunkers and wrecks. Was driving my Tacoma for a while when I decided I wanted something older. Took me over 6 months of looking after work and on weekends to find this one. Still want to go older but I think I'm going to need to go somewhere without snow to look.

You should check statewidecraigslist.com and search your entire state and surrounding states. You'll be surprised what you find. In other states.

Actually use search tempest. Much better. That's how I found my rust free truck in Oregon.

Thanks, I will.

Actually went to go look at some bucket seats out of 88 forerunner a guy was parting out and notice a really cool 84 reg cab sitting in his yard. Solid body, frame, and bed (he got it up from Florida) but engine is shot (rod) but he won't budge on his price so guess I'm still looking.

Hey Chef. Check out my old truck. This was my high school beauty and my first truck ever. Bought her myself back in 2006
It was a 1986 Toyota pickup, 4x4, SR5, IFS. Nice 31" Thornbird tires that made it hum in the street nice and loud. And had Rancho suspension I sure miss this truck.

No kidding. Some guy recently had two for a pickup advertised for $300 in the local ads.

Or did you mean $75 each?

Hi mucus,
Thanks for sharing. Clean Runner!

Folks, I'm looking for roof rack solutions for my 1986. I want to start with rails that sit flat (similar to that on second gen Runners) for better load distribution on the fiberglas shell. Am considering pulling from the junk yard, and saw this picture.

How well does the 2nd gen rail fit the shell on first gen Runner?
Does anyone know other factory roof rail that would fit the First-Gen shell?

TIA and regards,
RAD

Haha i couldnt believe it. No it was 75 for all 4. It was some redneck kid that turns out bought them from 4xinnovations and was gonna try and retro fit them into his pathfinder... Just had to spent a few hours and grind the COATING of surface rust and paint.

Put some 33x12.50's on my runner today. Even after the bigger tire size I can't tell any big difference in acceleration.

anyway, here's the before shot with my 31x10's and saggy leafs

After shot(with zukmod), can anyone identify the rims?:
