Porche CVs

Does anybody have any information on these? I heard they would fit on a toyota and are stronger then stock. Is this true?

Thanks
Dustin

I beleive those are stronger and thicker in diameter. However, they are not as less expensive as the T100 axles that can also be used in the LongTravel kits.

I'd also suggest looking into the VW Toureg CVs... probably are marked up *slightly* less than the porsche parts...

Most of the axles are using Porche 930 CV's and 934 CV's. The only real purpose of them is for CV angle. Basiclly for long travel applications where CV angles are giong to be more so than a stock CV.

Wonder what the advantage over the T100 axles are versus the Porche. I know Porche are stronger, but unless your in the Baja 100 or something, can you break the T100 with the 12" of travel? Im no LT knowing man

So does anybody have a price on the Porche 930 CV's and 934 CV's. How hard are they to put in a stock truck? I didn't have time to call Downey, had to work.

last i heard was somethin like $400 a pair, just get some stock ones from your local store, they most likely come with a lifetime warranty

Ok, here's a little info.

The T-100 cv's are exactly the same as the IFS cv's. They just have a longer shaft. LT comapnies knew this so, they built thier LT arms to the same length so that we could use a readily avilable part to save on cost. Strength is the same as stock.

Porsche cv's can handle better angle and more power (Stronger). You cannot use stock porsche cvs as the mounting holes will not line up. The ones made for Toyotas are adapted to fit, or I believe in Downey's case use some sort of adapter between them (That's how it sounded to me).

Are they worth getting? Did you break one?

they are expensive, i remember hearing 900 for a pair, but look on ebay too... yes you can break stock axles, when your running a supercharged 3.4 lt truck with stock front t100s threw the desert anything can break.
