Pics of my 4runner with marlin bumper pulling 3500lbs trailer

I've done alot to my runner since I last took pictures so I while I was pulling this power washer around my friends house I though I would take a few to post.

I was impressed with the marlin bumper. I was a little worried about putting about 3500 lbs on it but it seemed to be alright

What I did with my tail lights

Why didn't you just use that Chevy Monster truck...HAHAHA...

No but seriously: How much did the front TJM cost you?

Good deal. I towed 5K many times on my allpro, which is similar in design but the MC has more mounting bolts.

looks good, the marlin looks a little on the wimpy side for towing but if it pulled it fine, it sure showed me up. a couple days ago i pulled a 3700 lb. wakeboard boat + however much the trailer weighs out of the water and over 100 miles. i was worried about my acceleration and braking (without a controller) and while neither were stellar, my taco handled it just fine.

LOL - and here I was arguing with some guy a couple of weeks ago who claimed a Runner wouldn't tow 1500lbs! I wonder what he'd think of this thread?

Good to see the MC bumper pulling that heavy load! I've towed a couple of light things with mine but have been a bit worried about pulling heavier loads. Guess I'll quit worrying!

It seems that it should be ok since I am sure Marlin knew the bumper would be used as a recovery point. Though it seems that the addition of some cross bracing from the frame to the reciever would not hurt. Looks like Marlin will be getting a bumper order from me for my '81. Have you had yours long? I have heard that he is having some long a$$ back orders on some of his bumpers/cages due to fabricator problems...

Great looking 4Runner BTW...

-I think the TJM was just over 550 shipped to the UPS freight center.

-The Chebby monster truck is pretty bad 44's with a 383 stroker... with stock axles gears tranny transfer case so as you would image its broken

- I've had the Marlin bumper one my truck since the first of june. I got to test it on some trails down in superlift. It was pretty tough, I wish my steering was a tough as that bumper

My friend had it, I can't remember exactly what it's called something tint. He got it at a pickup truck wearhouse around town. I'll see if can figure out what its called and get back to you.

Damn! Thats awsume
I REALLY want a mc rear bumper, but having one shipped up to me is a big hassle I also will need one customized to fit a 3" bl.
Do they all come with that step up? I never saw that before, looks great!

Yep its really nice. I'm not sure about the body lift but the brackets that mount the bumper have a drop to them you might be able to flip them around and use it to raise the bumper up.

Also the stuff i used on my tail lights is called night shade.

before the OME rear springs

~2400 lbs loaded with ~250# tonge weight, plus another 300# gear/dogs etc in the truck.

I dont set any land speed records but it pulls ok.
