Panhard & Rear Sway Questions

Ok finishing up doing a body lift, bj spacer, and coil lift on a buddys 91 4runner. First question is, how in the heck do you get the panhard bar back on the axle!!!!!!!???? The axle needs to move towards the passenger side about an 1" or more, tryed using a ratchet strap, and that didn't work. 2nd question is, how many of you are running without the rear sway bar, and if so, are you having any kind of problems out of it. Thanks in advance for any replys......Ready to get this thing out of my garage, starting to fell like i'm

to get it back on i just pry'd the whole body over with a big bar , i know it's not the way to do it but it worked , your going to need a panhard drop bracket to get it back inline properly , do a search loads of good info on it on here

HIJACK...sorry.
With the sway bar issue, if you remove just the front sway bar you can get a lot more flex out of the IFS right? Is it neccesary to remove the rear as well? Or leave it on? I'd like to have my truck be at least a little streetable. Thanks...sorry for hijacking.

Pryed on the body I just want to hook the panhard back up for now, I'll check after its together to see if its going to need the drop bracket

can you lift the frame and pull the wheels off the ground nd move it to where you need it to be?

yes, removal of the front sway bar will increase ifs flex.

stock IFS, minus the sway bar.

with a tacoma, there isnt a rear sway bar IIRC, there isnt enough weight back there to need one.

If you put the frame up on stands, tires off, with a jack supporting middle of the axle. Then use another jack on the driver side of the axle and lift that side of the axle. Should swing it over a little bit.

I'm having some issues with my 4runner with regards to the rear sway bar being removed....I've got the BJ Spacers, TJM Torsion Bars, Cruiser Coils, Rancho 9000x shocks, 2" bodylift, and 35's. On winding and twisty roads with a full load of camping gear, the inside front wheel lifts up off the ground while conering........the truck still feels stable when this happens, but you can feel the wheel come off the ground, then come back down once you've exited the corner....mates have followed me and said the wheel was almost 1ft off the ground on occasions.

I will be getting the sway bar link pins lengthed, and then will be re-installing the sway bar, hopefully this fixes it....

As for re-installing the pan-hard rod, I once used a long shovel handle between the tyre and outside of the chassis.....with a couple of mates on it we were able to lever it over enough to get the panhard rod back on.
