Finally took some pictures of my paint. sprayed it under the carport a little over a week ago then I decided i wanted some stripes to break up all the black. wanted to retain some of the factory stripe look so this is what i came up with silver metallic. the stripe is outlined with a small charcoal stripe. The tailgate letters came from james dean creations (great guy to deal with).

Looks great! I have been thinking about doing something like this with my 4runner.

What kind of paint did you use? Spray can?

 

I used Dupont chroma basecoat/clearcoat. Three coats of black base and Three coats of clearcoat. I usually end up wetsanding the last coat of clear off when i buff.

Does he have the V6 and SR5 stickers too?

 

The toyota tailgate letters was $25. they are discontinued from the dealer and these are great quality and a breeze to apply and yes he has the V6 and SR5 as well.

oh sorry about that.... i had some left over Omni brand (PPG's cheaper line) silver metalic base and omni clearcoat.
