no power to fuel pump 22re
what's up guys, been awhile since I've been on the forums since the rise of Facebook and all, anyways, I've got my 86 pickup, 22re, recently saved from sitting for the last 4 years... refreshed the motor, cant seem to get power to the fuel pump, so far I've checked AFM, ohmed good, open circuit relay clicking and ohmed good, can jump power to fuse pump connector under passenger seat and get pump to run, truck will not start,. have changed ECU temp sensor, ECU, coil, fuse pump, different set of injectors, I have power to the injector resistor on passenger fender, what am I missing? with AFM door open fuel pump still doesn't come on, no power to AFM? where does it receive power from? slowly loosing my mind here.... anyone have a link to 86 FSM?
thanks

My truck doesnt appear to have an diag port... not sure why, also. Parts changed other than ECU temp sensor were known good used OEM parts, when i changed the ECU the truck started for literally 3-4 seconds then died, going to start tomorrow at the AFM and see if i have power there going to fuel pump switcg. Got frustrated for the night, trucks been down for 5 months getting the motor refreshed

... seconds after you release ignition switch? What if you keep IGN sw in start position? Still shuts off?

changed fuel pump relay the other day, after it started and ran for a few seconds, it wont do it again, havent messed with it for a few days but fuel pump check connector will be the first place i start, where does the AFM recieve its power from? it appears to be dead as well.

Why did you have to replace a part when you have not verified that it is defective? (Pls see signature).
Yes, it is more fun to replace parts than troubleshoot.
It ohmed good? Did it Volt good?

same same but different
hey everyone first of all thanks for all the knowledge you have bestowed upon me so far im new to yotas and working of vehicles in general with that being said im at my whit’s end i have the same type of problem as the op i have an 85 toyota rwd i thought the pump went out so i tried to replace it but all the bolts on the mounting bracket broke off i (im no metalworker) so i replaced the bracket, pump, tank, and sending unit i got it all hooked up and nothing so i fully charged the battery tried starting the next day and it ran i moved it across the street went to work and after work... nothing so i started troubleshooting the electrical i hooked the pump to the battery and it ran. so i checked the voltage when at the connector for the pump and nothing when the truck is in the on position but then like 10.5 volts while cranking. So I started at the other end and there is 12v after the main relay and 12 after the opening circuit relay. But nothing coming from the 10p connector coming from the ecu. If any one has some words of advice or have had a similar problem please let me know what I can do to get this thing running again I lso replaced the open circuit relay it didn’t help and I know I should have tested before replacing but you live and you learn

Hey! I'm having a similar problem my 4runner won't start after a rebuild. Where is the 10 pin connector that was causing your problem ?
