No diagnostics port....

I feel retarded posting this...but I cant find the damn thing. I checked the FSM, Chiltons, and a web page on the DIY timing change, and my diag. port is not where any of these things say it is (web page had a good pic, but there is no port on my motor where it is in the pic).

Its a '94 3vz-e, and its supposed to be by the smaller of the 2 fuse blocks near the battery, but there is nothing there. Help please?

Standing infront of the truck, its next to the relays on the bassenger side right behind the battery. Grey top says diagnostics on it

take a pic of your engine bay area around the fuse blocks. Not a close up but not to far away. We can help better if we can see what you are looking at also.

Did 2nd gens even have a diagnostic port? It's an OBD-I system, so maybe the only way to get the codes is to do the jumpering method.

It's supposed to be to the right of the small block of 3 relays/fuses. See that empty spot where it clips on? It's not dangling somewhere or any cut wires or something?

I didnt see anything down there, and no, there are no cut wires. Besides, if there were, would it still run correctly w/ no codes?

Not sure what it would do if the diag port was removed. Probably nothing. I think the only way it sees the port is if there are some pins jumpered for testing. If there are no codes in the ECU it will run fine, if that's what you mean.

Are you in the US - is it a US truck. Some had the diagnostic on the right side, a round port. There was a post a week or so ago about this:
