No blinkers/wipers

I have an issue with my 1989 4runner where the blinkers do not work and neither do the wipers. My hazards work, horn works, dash lights, and high/low headlights all work.

When I turn the blinkers on I get nothing and same with wipers. I have checked the wiper fuse and it is now blown, but I changed it anyway to be sure and still nothing.

Both the wipers and the turn signals were working previously before I did a 5speed swap and now neither are working. Seems strange that both switches would go bad at same time. I was thinking it was the switch that was bad, but if the hazards work then I don't believe the switch could be bad?

The issue may be caused by a bad steering control module.

based on schematic below,
1) Check Turn signal fuse,
2) Check for 12V at C5 terminal of Integration relay
3) If not 12V above, trace back to IG1 pin of ignition switch until you see where you lost 12V

often, the hazard switch is the problem. push in in and out a bunch and see if they start working...... but check the haz-horn fuse by the battery first. there could have been something messed with swapping the pedals.

OP's Hazards and horn works, meaning there is no issue with hazard switch that gets UNSWITCHED power from battery. The issue is with turn signals that gets power only when Ign is on from IGN1 contacts of Ign switch.

i have to check, but often in these vehicles, the hazard switch certianly does effect blinkers. i know for a fact the hazard switch can kill the blinkers in my audi, as it's done it plenty on vacation..... next vacation i'm bringing a new one to put in.
