I was thinking going 2.5 and then relaxing the Tbars... I think it would make it a bit more squishy but would get the clearance and travel increase. If I'm thinking correctly.

Yeah for me!!!
Alright...Well no pic's on this update but I have HEAT now!!! Tore the blower apart and found that some critter made a nest in it a while back and the P/O burned out the squire cage hole by running it with a nest in it. So the nice guy Tim (Helps me out quite a bit) from Advanced Auto got me setup with a blower that works. So now I have heat...so we can play in the cold now.

I was getting tired of it fogging up when I stopped at red lights.

Red face Just an update so you don't forget about me.

Well as you all know I had a problem with the runner. Got her stuck in a little puddle at Hillsville. Ended up hydro-locking but after an hour or so playing around I was able to drive her home, ticking like crazy. If all goes well this weekend I'll have the heads off and hopefully have the new gasket on the way (engnbldr parts all the way). Sunday afternoon I'm hoping I will be tearing into her. Wish me luck!!!

Anyone in for a read here is the hydro-lock thread...

Parts Truck!!!

Well here is a bit of an update. No I still do not have the heads off the runner sooooo it's going to be a while till I can get the time. I've had other things on my plate that I have had to get done first. It maybe spring until I can tear into it.

I did however find a parts truck. 88 pickup 3.0 5spd with manual hubs. My plan is to pull the tranny out and the manual hubs and swap on the runner and get rid of that dreaded auto and ADD. This thing as seen better days that's for sure.

There is not a straight body panel on it. I'm hoping to part some of it out. I think the 3rds are 4.56's if they are factory still the rear is welded. Rims and tires will go 35X12.5 The kid I got if from said it was knocking, I have yet to hear it knock but she runs have driven around the yard a bit. Not road worthy hasn't been inspected in over a year.

The 88 probably has an mechanical speedo cable and your 4runner has a eletronical speedo. Check with marlin crawler for the adapter. I am doing the same thing except I am putthing the 5 speed tranny out of a 93 3.0 t100 into my 88 3.0 auto 4runner. I know they make it just wondering if it will go the other way.

That thing broke loose on the TurnPike and I thought we were going to lose it. Pulled over and I found that there is a metal strap with a sheet metal screw in the roof holding it on...

If I would have had the truck sooner the 4Runner would not be in the shape it is now.

I would def. find out because you would have to change your cluster too (at least). I know in my 94' it's electronic with 2 sensor. 1 - VSS and another sensor in the rear of the gauge cluster. The only cables I have running out of the cluster are the harness clips/wiring.

Yes the collection keeps growing and with this new addition the lil lady is not too happy with my treasure.

I think I'm just going to take what I want and part the rest. I want the 5spd and the manual hubs mainly. As for the engine not sure what I'm going to do with that.

Did it go something like "this place looks like a junkyard!!!"?
Definitely could part it put and probably come close to or go over ,what you paid for it.

Or make a mudder........
