new exhaust pipe pics

I just got some exhaust work done cuz it was leaking where the down pipe bolts to the manifold.

They removed the old pipe put in new gaskets, cut off the flange and welded in a new pipe, cat and 02 sensor bung.

I brought the cat and the 02 sensor.
They charged me $127 out the door which I think is a pretty good deal.
My truck has so much more throttle response now and is quieter
I went to lou's custom exhaust in westport mass, anyone who lives near there should check it out they do really good work.

Should have had them fab the y-pipe since they were removing the front exhaust pipe anyway.

Well, I bought the gaskets and new bolts from the dealer and he put some gasket sealer on them so it should be fine,
I didn't know what they had planned till I got there today but they just cut off the old one and welded on the new pipe and bent it up, it seems solid to me, it was leaking terribly before and my old O2 was bad and the bolts were rusted so I'm pretty pumped about the new O2 bung

wow! that's clean!
I had some real clowns do my stuff last time. saggy p.o.s....

you can use copper antiseize instead of gasket sealer. paste burns off, but copper stays behind.

I was impressed with the quality of the welds myself, they used a 14 gauge pipe in stead of the stock 16 gauge, the only thing that isn't new is my muffler but it stills looks to be in good shape, they gave me a two year warranty too
