Need Help , what did i break
#21
It can be installed on the truck, but it's easier, in a way, to remove TB then install TPS. Lets you be a little more steady, less reaching in and easier to adjust. Can be a little tough hitting the bottom screw with TB mounted. Unless you have hex/allen screws.

Maybe !!!Toyota is great for giving the same part different numbers
If the resistance is the same so your ECU sees the values it needs to see it will work.
I never needed to know if they were all the same from the mid eighties to 95 perhaps someone does know.

Yeah, when I bought one I just checked to make sure it would go open/closed circuit, and that the resistance sweep across its range was constant, and didn't have a dead spot anywhere. Many times, they're misadjusted when you find them still on a throttle body, so the exact resistance ranges don't always happen. An old school analog meter will pick up a break in continuity/dead spot a little more visibly than a digital meter.

well , the tps sensor I got will not fit on my throttle body , the plugin is different and it is clocked different on the backside. wyoming9 do you think you might have one? the part number is :
