Need electrical advise
Background. Bought 86 4Runner and while driving it around the charge light and brake light would flash on and off with bumps. Allready checked fluid level etc. Using the back window when they would come on would turn the lights off sometimes, but sometimes back window wouldn't work. Sometimes turning car off for a second would also turn them off, and all would be normal again.
Now. Two days ago when I was almost home, only the charge light came on and wouldn't go off with my normal meddlings. The rear window and rear wiper ceased to work as did the temperature, and fuel gauges also. Car still starts strong, and all other components work great.
Any help would be awesome. Thanks.

Thanks leebee,
I took care of the gauges and the back window. So now I'm back to square one, where the brake and charge lights just flash with bumps. I'll work on that one tomorrow.

I can almost garuntee its the fuse box under the drivers side of the dash. I have fixed this problem in a few rigs, seems to be a common problem. The female portion where the fuses goes in begins to corrode, and will flicker in and out of working. Try jiggling those fuses (the charging and ignition fuses) and see what happens. Also pull all your fuses and check for corrosion.
