Mystery box

while doing the clock mod today I came across a box/ module looking thingie directly behind the glove box. It has a knob labled RPM, and "+", and "-" , any idea what the heck it is ?

why don't you go outside, start the truck, and turn the knob?
if it raises the idle you'll know?

Appears to be stock, sis bought new in 89 and I've had it the past 8 years. Will take pic tomorrow .

Its the idle up adjustment for the A/C, so if you have A/C in your truck and its working fine, there is no reason to adjust it.

The box under the dash doesn't set the engine idle speed, it sets the detected engine speed at which the compressor will kick on.

Does your ride have an aftermarket alarm?? Could be the alarm sensitivity switch
