Did you get the new winch? Using it? How's it holding up? I'm wondering about this winch as my champion is basically dead.

I just used my xrc8 winch today here. I pulled a fedex that was stuck on a icey patch worked fine.
Actually it's the first time I have pulled anything heavy and it pulled it no problem.
The only downside is my solinoid box was angrily kicked by g/f one night and it's cracked and missing a piece of plastic on it.
Long story......

i got the new one on and working, but haven't got to abuse it yet!.. it sure free spool's easier than my first one.

yea, my first one still worked when i sent it back. it just wouldn't free spool. how long this second one lasts will determine the quality.

Well I went ahead and popped for one on Thursday. They had a limited time offer on Winchdepot for a free cover and free shipping (free shipping still available) so I figured what the heck. There seems to be enough positive reports across many boards/forums to make me pretty comfortable with this. I did not get any additional warranty but figure if it is going to crap out it will do it pretty quick. So $292.45 to my door with a cover. We shall see, haven't received it yet. Besides I might only run the thing for 20 minutes total over the next 5 years unless I do like TOYOTA 1 and go out looking for trouble. (which I just might do)

i went with a 36x13.50x15 bias irock. yea my 35x10.5's boggers are a great mud tire, but they are a lil small for me. plus they ride like ass on the pavement.

the rims i have now are 15x8, i could mount the irocks on them but they call for a 15x10. plus i wanted some black wheels, so i got 15x10 pro comp series 97's to go with the 36's. ill post up a pic or ten when i get them mounted

Really nice looking truck, bumper and winch. I personally think the tire size looks great. Bigger isn't always better.

you have to ask for the lifetime warranty. but it also has a 2year warranty threw the manufacturer. the 10k and 8k are the same beasts. only difference is the gear ratio. the 10k is a lil slower.
