Ran straight pipe for a while on my 3.0 V6, sounded like a forklift I used to drive, ugh! Now I have a 2 1/2" piped resonator and a welded Flowmaster and out just after the rear tire. The guy at the muffler shop did an excellent job, tight and solid. It sounds so good I usually don't even listen to my stereo anymore.

LCE 4-1, CA.-Legal Header.......

2.25" Pipe out........

OEM 02 installed(soon to be heated)....

Magnaflow 2.25" Highflow CAT into pretty old Borla Muffler.........

*****************************

I'm really happy with the set up, and it's got plenty of good thoaty sound without being ridiculously loud. Toward the top(3500-4500RPM) it really Cracks pretty well, too.

sounds good chef, gonna have to make up some new videos of my setup. Maybe of one a little further away and a drive by. I've posted mine up a few times here. I think.

I want to get a cat put on mine, but haven't been able to pull the trigger on it yet though.

THANKS, X! Always good to hear your advice or compliments...... or heck, even a slap in the mug when I need it! lol...

Yeah, I hear ya... You're in PA, so isn't yours around 60$ for a highflow 2.25"? Oh, but you have 2" pipe out the collector, right? Trying to remember.... Hmmm, my old brain is overwhelmed lately! lol.

2.25 straight back from the downey 4-1 header, into a 2.25 in/out thrush turbo into 2.25 tail section with an el cheapo 3" square resonator tip.

videos to come.

for those who forgot or don't want to look back that far or for the noobs to the thread I will repost.

don't mind the minor after fire as I don't think carbs like to rev that high and back off so suddenly when not driving. lol.

Drive bys
2:15 2nd gear normal throttle.
3:50 1st to 2nd gear shift at almost full throttle
5:05 pull in to park. Don't mind the dieseling, got to fix the idle shutoff solenoid on this weber.

Last video, sorry for the short cutoff was gonna show it sitting at 2000 RPM on the high idle during initial cold startup. Ran outta battery

Stock exhaust manifold - 2.5" to Cherry Bomb high flow cat - Flowmaster Delta 40 and 2.5" tailpipe. Nice smooth rumble - not too loud when I start it up at 5am some mornings
Here it is on the dyno:

Haha nope, Harold's Pharmacy delivery car. He was further away then it seemed. Although I did scare the hell out of him on the full throttle driveby cus he turned up the block.

Sound sweet, Loco,

And X, NICE, lol... The Pharmacist was probably saying, just minutes later, "MAN, I gotta stop taking all that Xanex before work!... I SWEAR a giant blueberry almost killed me!"

Updated my troubleshooting and oil leaks threads, hehe.

Got it from AutoZone. $50 bucks using my buddy's discount - I think they run around $80.

got the 14" magnaflow..and i'm going to give it time to break in.....but as of right now...i don't like it...sounds like my old '86 22R

i heard a 3rd gen pickup over the weekend though that almost made me crap my pants.

it sounded AHHHHMAAZZZINNNGGGGGGG...had a 3.5" tip in the stock location (like boom tube, was prolly 18" long) very deep and nasty...i LOVED it.

the dude that owns it is my Buddie's ex-girlfriend's uncle...so ima try to go talk to him and find out what he's got on it or maybe what he doesn't have on it lol

my 3RZ tacoma is running a flowmaster 60 series, my 94 22re is running a home built cat back with 2.5 inch tubing and a flowtech redhots glasspack, it sounds like a deep throaty honda, but more awesome
