*laugh* Yeah we have an auto hobby shop here but it's hard to get time in there once the weather warms up like it has. It seems that everyone that wants to do any work on their cruiser/lowrider/trail rig/etc comes out of the woodwork and wants to do something.

I have a friend that works on base and they are allowed to go into the shop the company has and use any tools they need. We just have to clean up after ourselves and be sure to replace anything we use or break. They have the shop that I want when I retire.

I can take pics in the morning for you.

Basically, it fits right up in there with hardly a worry. We had one problem with the body mounts at the rear. Just notched them as much as needed. Placed the bumper where it needed to go. Blew out some holes with a plasma cutter for the bolts. Bolted it up. Threw on some welds for extra safety, security.

Does notching the body mounts cause any issues with stability of the body? I can see notching them so the bumper will slide in and it looks pretty straight forward and easy. I just don't want to do something that will cause an issue later.

Pictures would be great if you get a chance.

Thank you.

Hope this helps.
I had forgotten how much we hacked up the body supports.
It's pretty rusty in there, too. I will remove the bumper when I paint the Runner. The MC Rear Bumper will get redone as well with some black Hammerite or black roll on bed liner.

Like I said, we cut holes for the bolts, bolted, welded. Plan was to add steel to the body support. We will do that when the bumper comes off and on again.

Wow you really did hack up the mounts. I'm thinking I can do something like that but I'm planning on adding some gussets that I can weld to the body mount and the bumper.

Thanks for the pics. That makes it easier to see what I need to do.
