MAF sensor location on 3VZ-E
Could anybody point me to the location of the MAF sensor on 3VZ-E. I can't seem to find it. My reference comes from http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/mainte...tenancep5.html
That How-To is for the 3.4L though.
BTW, I cleansed the throttle body http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/mainte...throttle_body/
and I got the perception that it stabilized the iddle.

You really need to run several tanks through it to get an average and you need to get it from the same gas station, at least the same brand of gasoline.
The mpg will vary from several miles per gallon for different gasoline brands.

you can clean the AFM.. mine was quite dusty (past owners not chaning air filters enough perhaps).. i just used a knife to cut the molding around the top housing and voila u can pop that cap right off.. Use an electrical cleaner and dont touch anythin with your fingers.. then i used an epoxy type stuff to reseal it up and hopefully she wont fail in my lifetime now lol

I got the truck a week ago, so it's my first tank.
I feel like the 15mpg is on the low side since I drove it WOT most of the time. Highway at 150km with brand'spankin' new Revo's etc...20mpg would be good for me.
I just started "tuning" it so we'll see
I did remove the two screws of the AFM and slowly started pulling and then I told myself "that ain't right" so I stopped, put it back together, went back inside, posted and got saved by Yotatech

I'll try my best to reach 20mpg, I started driving accordingly. Already saw a difference, did 120km today, and the gas level didnt budge.
BTW, I dont have a carrier on the top. From my avatar, its tough to see, but it's actually a balcony that's behind the truck.
One thing is sure, I looooooooove my new truck and I'm getting rid of my Integra

Still new to this truck, tuff for me to gauge by the ear the right rpm I should cruise at.
What kinda of rpm should I stick to, in order to maximise the fuel efficiency ?
I know, I know, it's still a 3VZE, not much room for improvement

650km/tank on the highway is a number that suits me fine.
I'm fine with low mpg in the city but for me, what's important to me is to maximise the long range.
you know, with the obvious reasons to cancel a certain upcoming election, I wanna have the confidence that I can get far enough from downtown, like 650km far.
Gonna get a couple of those beautiful
