I hope you know how to weld because you are going to spend a ton of time doing it to repair that rust. Also, if the body is that rusted I wonder about the frame, you might have to pull the body off and clean, patch, and paint the frame. There is no point in working on it at all if you are just going to snap the frame the first time out. Why would you take the carrier for your DD? It is much more convenient on a trail rig, great place to store a tire, storing it underneath or inside gets old fast.

To address the tire carrier question - My tailgate was damaged severly, to replace it was $700 Canadian (if I wanted rust free) so this one cost me nothing. The tire carrier I've always wanted for the same reason - under or in on a daily gets old (especially if you have a full sized 33 in there while trying to pack for the cottage (3 kids and 2x100lb dogs)

Frame is good I spent 4 hours today going over it.... As for weldin - YES is the answer - But I also have a "girl"friend that is a professional welder by trade.... Body steel and tacking into place I can do, but I have her do all my major welding. As for time frame - I don't need the truck until July for a wheeling event - lots of time.... I just don't want any downtime with my daily driver..... But thanks for the concern...

Here is "The Donkey on 31's for a while (will switch if needed) Boy do they look funny....

Here's the new Runner on the 33's. I think the 2 door looks sweet on them... Needs bigger (35's)

Can't wait to fix the rear heater line and see what this dog'll do with the 33's... (Monday I'll get to fixing the line) But I'm not expecting much. Now looking for 5.29's and getting my diffs welded (trail rig only)
