Bought my '88 P/U about a month ago. Guy I bought I from had LED headlights on it. On low beam, half of the headlight would light up but be super bright. On high beam and flash, same half of headlight would light up but be real dim and high beam indicator would not come on. Tried two different dimmer switches with same result. Picked up a pair of halogen lights and now low beams are brighter than high beams. High beams and flash are both dim and indicator works but is really dim. I've cleaned the inner fender ground, Engine block to battery ground, and intake manifold ground I'm about to clean the block firewall and alternator grounds. Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Got multi-meter?
What's half of the headlight? Left only is half, right only is half, high beams only is half, low-beams only is half. (Pls see signature)
Checked grounds but not the positive side of the circuit?
Tried dimmer switches but you did not check fuses? Checking fuses is almost free and quicker than swapping simmer switches.
Check fuses. Not just look. Measure.
Fix issue with regular halogens first before you upgrade.
