update: splurged on a connector from offroadsolutions. had to move a yellow wire for 4wd to work otherwise runs great. 8 months later and still going stronk.
update: 5 years later, still no issues.

Red face

I have never had luck trying to down load anything my internet connection always quits .

I have no idea just what all your numbers and plugs mean because every year is different the same plugs can be different even on the same year with different engines

With the hard copies it is quite easy should be with what you have can you run two screens to look at both diagrams at once ??

Then one circuit at a time

Since 3 plugs come from the engine harness the 4th plug can be bought and repined or some just use the plug from the donor vehicle with a pig tail and splice into the truck harness .

This is time consuming work it is one circuit at a time. Not many people want to spend a day working for $50.00

That is why the companies making harnesses get a decent price .

The thing is so many different variations

Lightbulb

I'm aware the plugs are different based on year and engine, however I've already given which engines and years I'm looking for.. pretty sure those hold the same. Plugs are known by different letters based on year and engine are they not? I know that in the diagrams I got from TIS, my 91 toyota has C1 and C2 which need to be hooked up to the 96 donors IH1 and IH2 plugs. Then theres that 4th CPU plug that I think is called T4.. regardless, it's the cpu plug that isn't part of the engine harness.. that fact should hold true no matter what 5vz donor you have I believe.. (or are you saying that two 1991 toyota pickup 5 speed excabs with 3VZEs might have different plugs or just the same plug with the wires in different pins on the connectors? wouldn't common sense dictate that such a thing would make them near impossible for toyota techs to work on?)
I'm only going off what I found for the names of plugs and asking if anyone has already done the work, it's really not difficult or confusing to understand there are three engine harness CPU plugs (that plug into the ECU), one fourth cpu plug I'm not sure what to splice it into (and by splice are we talking strip plastic off another wire and solder on or connect to another wire that goes to nothing else?), and two engine harness -> body harness plugs that i need to know how to re-pin the body side plugs for, with the specifics I've already mentioned in the first post..
I have the 4th plug, and would need to know where/how to splice the thing in.. as in, again, what wires go to what. am I cutting body harness side wires (or engine harness side wires) off the engine/body harness plugs and wiring them to the wires on the 4th plug or am I stripping plastic and soldering the 4th plugs wires to existing body/engine harness connections? I do appreciate you reply but if you have to go out of your way and do a whole days worth in research when you're not willing.. though I'm still not quite sure what about the wire tracing and renaming is so time consuming (if you have the information I can't seem to find anywhere).. then perhaps just let someone else do their thing? I don't even need wire specifics really, just "R-Y on plug X to G-Y on plug Z". (red wire yellow stripe on plug C1 to green wire yellow stripe on plug IH1).
Regardless of variation, I've already provided specification (which should be enough, if not please feel free to ask me for more details I may have forgotten).. and companies that make harnesses should just make adapters as well and be done with it. They wont though, because they get to charge more by selling more than you need.
sorry if I misunderstood anything, your post was sorta difficult to understand.. couple things that could be read different ways.
Thanks!

unfortunately not, picked that up off TIS myself a few days back.. thanks for the post though bud d(^_^)

I suppose I should also mention if someone has it (or is willing to spend a day tracing wires for a 91 pickup 5spd 3vze and a 96 t100 5spd 5vzfe) and you don't think $50 is enough, feel free to ask for more. This is America after all, you have that freedom. I also have the freedom to say yeah or no thanks if its too much.

Info update

so ORS told me " If you print up the engine, ignition, cruise control, back up light, combo meter, and A/C diagrams for both vehicles that will give you the info you need... You will have to figure out what wires are in the body and what wires are in the engine harness on the 5VZ side. You will also need to decipher which parts of the corresponding '91 circuits now have missing wires from the removal of the 3VZ engine. ".. though they're unwilling to take the task themselves (and I didn't even mention money except to say I'd pay for said info).. ergo, I'll attach said diagrams I picked up off TIS to this post so if any enterprising individuals want to make some moolah (if $50 ain't enough feel free to ask for more) they can do so with greater ease. I don't see anything "combo meter" related in the downloads folder for either truck so I'll just have to disclude that file for the time being.. but I will include power source and ground point diagrams.. I did find references to a "combination meter" in those.
(though I should also mention that my truck's AC bracket was damaged during install and as such I'm not running AC with my current setup. snow on the ground half the year anyway.)
This post will have only 1996 T100 donor vehicle attachments. The next post will have only 1991 Toyota Pickup recipient vehicle attachments.

Cheers!

ten days no bites. I suppose I'll close this and go buy a harness or wire it myself using a continuity meter or something. unless someone started and hasn't finished yet, I'll figure this out on my own.
oh.. and I'll post the results here. for $50.

o-ho! I see. Instrument cluster. Thanks bud! Unfortunately, I still don't seem to have it either way for the t100.

I didn't have the link you provided as it applies to 4runners and not pickups or t100s.

I'm effectively abandoning this thread.
At least it's a source of everything for a 1991 pickup and 1996 t100 from the TIS site. except combo meter for the t100. bizarre that wasn't in there.
