LCE Header

Gets here Friday. Excited as can be.
Going on to my 22RE, bored .20 over, OS valves, ported and polished, and a 268* cam.
Should perk it up.
I'll let you guys know as soon as I get her on!

It's a nice header. Headers get HOT though, so if you feel you need a cover, make one out of the original cast manifold heat shield, you can find pics of mine here https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f88/...eaders-152880/

I am thinking about wrapping mine. I know it's not recommended, but those things heat the crap out of the engine compartment.

Matt16, no I need to change my sig, lol
I've been getting a constant 19 in town. Not bad, but I'm sure I'd get better if I wasnt johnny-on-the-gas all the time.
Gas milage is going to go down for the first few weeks I've got the header.
I like the skinny pedal. Heh.

So how's the power difference?

It looks great! Does the ceremic coating help with the heat? I used to have a header on a bronco that I got from Jet-hot and it stayed relatively cool. I am thinking about that upgrade for my 22re too.

Very impressed with the header
Ran header with stock exhaust for about 2 days, noticeable gains
Then took it to flowmaster, 2.25'' to a 40 series, no cat. LOUD.
Had to take it back in today to put a resonator on it and a delta series muffler.
Little quieter now, I was waiting to get a ticket before.
Very very pleasant gain in power.
My cam timing is still retarded, so I'm waiting to order my LCE camgear, my powerband kicks in just a little too late.

I'm getting about 21-22 hwy, and 18-19 other

Running a Magnaflow muffler, the 7" round one, it's not the straight thru design like most of them, but it has an offset interior with baffles, it's awesome and not loud at all unless you rip on it.

Cam is 261c, head is stock valves with 3 angles, .020 over bore, LC header, 2 1/4" pipe with "test pipe" .... Loving this little motor...
