Sorry to hear of your loss from the VT ordeal, Kat. Luckily, no one I know with kids going there experienced a loss; one of my coworker's kids had left one of the classrooms an hour before the shooting started. Another stupid tragedy....we really need to figure out what the h@ll is going on with our youth....

Katie so sorry to hear about your friends. Now we will add you to our prayers.
But on a lighter note just saw you weregonna get the little rubber gizzs for the injectors. I would recommend using new Toyota o-rings as well I used the ones that came in my rebuild kit and had leaks. Had already replaced the insulators with Toyota parts before I started it up and the leak scared me with that open header without the collector on it belchin all them flames. The new seals were the answer. No more fire allowed for you. I'm sure you have had more than enough of that.
Jim

lol - I had Rich at Cruzin Performance rebuild them, so I wont touch them and if they leak, I will take it up with him. I am pretty sure he won't steer me wrong. Everything else on this motor is factory parts thou(minus the stuff from EB)

Knock sensors - Back in the late '90's we used to do recalls for the HG recalls on the 3.0's, It got to the point that most of the ones that we did would be back within a month or sooner due to a Code 52 "knock sensor", after Toyota addressed the situation whenever we did a HG we also replaced the knock sensor. So listen up: Whenever you remove the heads from a 3.0 to do a HG or whatever, Always, Always replace the knock sensor!

Ok, I have been working with Shannon Brookshire over in the Vendor Forums so I stuck with him and he does well for me.
I ordered:
Knock Sensor for $123
6 Injector Spacer's @ $6 each
A case of oil filters(10) for 32.90 for the case
SO, I am going to call the machinist tomorrow and see if i can get the long block together this weekend( at least far enough to wait on the KS)

TNR - electrolysis is what we are doing just like you saw... I put the fuel filter bracket in there and left it overnight just to test the system -- I am now wondering if an LCA will fit in my 5 gallon bucket hmmm...
GOAT - I have one of these pressurized sandblaster but it isnt working worth a crap - I am about to return it -- I cant get flow consistant - I tried using play sand(bad idea) - cleaned out the system and tried 150 grit sandblasting sand(still didnt work) and most recently i bought the expensive stuff(black beauty) and still nothing
I don't know. we check the hoses and they are not clogged, neither is the deadman valve - we fiddled with the switch on the bottom of the tank.. nothing... pressure is definitely there...

Kat, use "silica sand", but wear a respirator. And make sure it has a small screen on the inlet. A lump of sand will plug it up quick like! Make sure pressure is way up. It needs to have a "minimum" of about 100 PSI to work, under that, nothing will flow. Kat, I have been reading your thread, nice work! If I wasnt happily married, I'd ask you if you had any sisters!

No sisters for me
Only a little brother
I talked to the machine shop this afternoon and he broke one of his carbide cutter-somethingorothers that he needs to do the 3 angle valve job, so he got his new one in today and will have my heads done early in the week. The block and everything is ready to go, but i opted to get some more prep work since it appears that we have a nice sunny weekend ahead of us!
I am getting off this computer to go get some work done -- I'll be back later
Kat
PS Thanks for the tips about silica sand - When i am feeling patient i will try again
