There's gotta be a vacuum leak somewhere in there.

Auto Zone has genuine Denso units.....pretty cheap, comparitively. Atleast for the 22re they do. I guess you'd have to check for the 3vze.

Just updating this, I was finally able to get a working TPS. Once I slap it on and get it dialed in correctly I will let you know if the truck still runs the same or if it's fixed.

10.30.08

CEL is back on same code. Runs fine when cold but once it warms up and I am in any gear idle drops down and truck shakes a bit. It's not as bad as it use to be and like I mentioned before the TPS was bad I hate to say it but abe may be partially right. I am thinking it's an exhaust leak. How would I test for this to make 100% sure? Since the cat-back was replaced it must be at the headers something I cannot see either due to space or heat shields.

Thanks!

Here is where I am going to look really stupid...if there is not a leak wouldn't doing that cause one (built up pressure?) or would the rag catch on fire?

if you've got a section of hose a few feet long, you can hold one end to your ear and move the other around the exhaust manifold, down pipe, etc and listen for the tick/puff.

Update: 11/19
I replaced the o2 sensor with a Denso OEM. My CEL was gone for 3-4 days and the truck ran awesome, but then it came back. It seems that the truck runs fine but when the CEL hits the car starts to shake/idle like crap. I doubt it's an exhaust leak because it would run like crap/CEL right away, right? I am going to test the AFM next because that is really the only thing left? Any further ideas on what it could possibly be would help too.

I am bringing this back from the dead because I am still having the same issue. Instead of you guys going through the thread I will write a cliff notes of what I have done.

- Replaced O2 for a Denso
- Swapped out AFM for a known good one
- Replaced TPS
- Cleaned TB
- Searched for a vacuum leak but did not find much
- Found an exhaust leak and fixed it

What I know:
- My EGR is blocked off and my TVV is broken and lost in the engine abyss. For now, I have a bolt stuck in there and I ran a hose from the charcoal canister to the plenum.
- My spark plug wires are Autolite, should I swap to NGK?

Dealer wires. Both my 3.0's ran better with the stock wires from the dealer.
